Dharan

Dharan is one of the most popular cities in Nepal. Dharan is one of the cities located in the eastern Nepal, in the Sunsari District and in the Koshi Zone. Geographically located at the meeting point of the Himalayan foothills and the Terai Plains, Dharan is a striking place for exploring the natural and cultural wonders of eastern part of Nepal.

Dharan Clock Tower is one of the famous attraction in Dharan. It is located in Dharan, Bhanu Chowk. It is one of the iconic places in Dharan, many tourist comes to clock tower to see iconic clock tower. It's constructed under the twenty year plan of the city at the estimated cost of Rs. 5,639,000.

Other famous places of Dharan is B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences(BPKIHS). BPKIHS is one of the largest projects implemented through Indo-Nepal co-operation. The university is named after the late B.P. Koirala, a former Prime Minister of Nepal. One of the popular hospital around Nepal. Due to health facilities provide by this hospital, many people come to Dharan.  BPKIHS is a self-governing body. The BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences has a pretty large area and a walk around it makes a

good exercise.

Dharan is also famous for the ancient temples and religious tourists. Buddha Subba Temple is one of the holy place in the Nepal. Buddha Subba Temple is one of the religious place in the eastern Nepal located which is located at Bijayapur of Dharan, Nepal. It is believed to fulfill wishes and bring good luck to the people who visited in Buddha Subba Temple. Budha Subba temple is also the tomb of the last Limbu King of Morang Kingdom of Limbuwan Present day Nepal, Budhhi Karna Raya Khewang . Budhhi Karna Raya Khewang's soul is believed to have wandered around the area of his tomb around Bijaypur.

Another famous religious place located in the Dharan. Dantakali is another famous religious and ancient temples in Nepal. Dantakali is located at Bijyapur of  Dharan, Nepal. Dantakali temple and Buddha Subba temple is near to each other. Dantakali is about 10 minutes down of the Buddha Subba temple.

Devotee comes from different places of Nepal. Very nice atmosphere in this temple full of local people. The wall at the entry with paintings are beautiful. There are some monkeys playing around. Peoples comes to this temple to worship Lord Kali(Kali Mata).
